About
Madi Martin is a Graphic Designer based in the United States. She is the co-founder of a new, independent, online publication called the Wandering Eye Magazine. She got her start in the design world, designing magazine layouts. Since then, she has developed a passion for publication, but also dabbles in poster design and photography.
Artist Statement
As a graphic designer, my goal is to create designs that capture the viewer's attention. I enjoy exploring the boundaries between playful and professional. Along with seeing how far I can push a design to the playful side.
Ultimately, I want to focus on designing for publication purposes. Things like book covers and magazine layouts, since that's what originally got me into the design world. I aim to combine the clear, cohesive, and professional aesthetic often used in this field with a wave of nostalgic, quirky design elements that make it more fun for readers. I hope to push back against the oversimplified "corporate" style and replace it with designs that feel more distinctive.
